It seems they're selling them faster than they can build them. Keep your fingers crossed, perhaps the estimate is conservative.

Thumbs down New Shipment Dates for Quad-Core iMacs!

I called Apple today and asked them about my shipment arrival date (I had paid extra for 2-3 day shipping in hopes to expedite the shipment). The woman I talked to explained that they are extremely behind on building the Quad-Cores and that shipment dates are probably going to end up being pushed back to DECEMBER!

I asked about my shipment date (placed on Oct. 30th) and she said perhaps in the new year...

I'm livid. I wish I would have known this in advance!

Looks like they turned out to be more popular than Apple excepted. Simply supply and demand at work here.

Sur3Mac has a spectacular aura about
Mac Specs: MacBook Pro Unibody 15"(mid2009)/ 2.66GHz/4,00 GB/320GB - iPhone 3G/ 8GB // PowerBook 1,25 GHz/1,5GB
I think it's the well known Apple stalling tactic, right?
They've been known to push back release dates in the past....

Holy smokes...that's quite a ways off!...but hey...since you ordered on October 30th...you should certainly be one of the first folks to receive one!

Hang in there!

I'll wait a couple months for one. It will be worth it.

IF what your saying is indeed true, well then that's just too bad. I ordered mine the day of and it still says November. I'm expecting them to start shipping sometime next week.

Although, I wouldn't be very upset if it didn't. I would rather iron out all the problems and everything rather than receiving it and having problems.

Might not be a bad idea to check with local Apple Stores to see if they have stock. Has anyone done that?

I was in my local Apple Store yesterday and they said at least for the quad-cores there is still no set availability. The guy helping me out said once the status changes on the website, then they will have availability as well.
