I purchased a new iMac 24" 3.06 GHz six months ago. About two months ago I noticed that the screen was bleeding gray from the upper corners inward when it was shut off.
Anyone else seen this?
Sorry for the bad pic but the good one was to large of a file. This will still give you an idea of what I'm talking about.

Hi, welcome to the best Mac forum...

It's a little hard to make out from the picture, maybe you could take another one....

But if the problem is like you say it is I would not hesitate and bring it in, see what the guy at the genius bar thinks of it.

I've talked with the Geniuses. "Yeah, bring it in, maybe we'll pop a new screen in it".
What I'm looking for are folks that have seen this before. I'm looking for some insight as to how this happened.
I've got a three year warranty so I'm not worried about costs.
They said maybe moisture could have caused it but the computer lives in a climate controlled environment so I don't think that's it.
This was also one of the first '09 models sold in my area.

Screen bleed or bleed over is usually caused by a manufacturing defect in the construction of the display. To make sure that it is just the display, attach an external monitor (or TV) to your iMac and see if it does the same thing or not.

Take it on in and let Apple deal with it.

Regards.
