I was thinking of buying one of the Mac Minis but I don't know if I should wait for the new Tiger release. Will I have to pay for this new update or will come standard on the Mac Mini after April 29th. And if it does then why don't they give you the option to preorder your Mac with it? :baron:

So there is no way to preorder a Mac Mini with Tiger? I'm afraid I'm not the only one who is waiting until the 29th to buy and I'm going to end up having to wait a couple weeks for my Mini.

No you can't preorder it with Tiger. You can order it now and get Tiger for 10 bucks when it is released (Only through mail I don't think you can do it in stores) or wait until the 29th to order it

Is the upgrade to Tiger for like $11 also be available to me? I bought my iMac G5 on March 13, 2005. Can I still get the upgrade for the cheap price?

Yeah, you'd think Apple would have done something like Dell did when XP was about to be released. They shipped the computers with win 98 and provided a free upgrade coupon so that you could get XP for free when it was finally released. They did that for a few months prior to the release of XP.

Yeah, it sucks, but Apple never promised you free OS upgrades. You paid for a Mac with Panther, and you got one. Look at it this way: this gives Apple time to work out all the bugs.
