G5 Inserting CD Problem

Hi Guys / Gals,

My iMac G5 won't let me insert any discs.
No matter far I push the disc in it just won't grab it.
The problem only started after it wouldn't let me eject a disc, so I did a restart and ejected the disc. Since then this problem has arisen.

Any ideas ?

Well The Weird and Wonderful World of Apple !

The problem righted itself this morning after leaving my iMac switched off overnight.

I've seen that solution for Firewire port problems but I would never have thought that it would apply to the internal drive. Thanks for passing that on.
