    Can someone measure an imac for me?
    Hi I would be grateful if someone could let me know the height of the 24inch imac from base (desk surface) to start of the actual screen, I am making a desk ready for it and want to get the height right, many thanks

    A measuring tape may help. I'm also going to assume that if you're making a desk, you'll have one handy .

    No doubt, van, but the OP looks like he is making the desk before getting the iMac?

    Good point. Coming back from vacation will prevent you from seeing those little details .

    I don't have an iMac so the best I can do is give you the dimensions listed on the Apple website here which won't answer much for you. I'll leave this one to those who own an iMac.

    Vansmith I hope you were drunk when you replied to this, no I dont have the imac and would measure it if I had one sat in front of me.

    papanohair I dont know what you mean by the 4 inches, anyway went to the mac store in the end, for info the measurements are;

    24inch screen imac.
    Base ( desk level ) to screen bottom (viewing area) 200mm - approx 8 inches,
    Actual viewing screen height 325mm.
