Power Mac - Best video card for powermac g4

I have a powermac g4 with a GeForce2 mx 32mb, and I am wondering if it would be worth it to buy an ATi 7000 64mb video card,or if you recommend a low priced alternative. I do a little video editing and some photo work and some games that work good but set to low settings. Thanks

I would look out for an ATI Radeon 9000 Mac Pro with 128MB memory. You should see some of them advertised on eBay and such as they were the standard card in MDD and many folk update their cards to get Tiger and Leopard running at their best.

so how much better is it over the ati 7000, also how important is the video card if you have a slow processor. thanks

Well Powermac you did ask for a cheaper card. Also here is a discussion from another forum which states do not buy the 7000 for ames:-
