iMac - Not picking up RAM after installation

I have just tried to install an extra 2gb of RAM into my G5 isight and it is not picking it up. I removed it and put the old 512mb stick back into the slot and now it wont recognize that either.
HELP!

It sound like you have not push the memory sticks all the way in the slots.
