Hello all,
I have an opportunity to pick up a G4 that I have a use for for next to nothing but it is missing a part. We do not know what part that is however. I have attached a photo of where the part belongs and the cable that is supposed to plug into it. I am a PC guy in the process of switching over (after all of these years) Any help you can offer would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks!

You might want to let people know what Mac that is - am guessing it is a Quicksilver?

This board - maybe?

Not sure really...
1.2 ghz
AGP Video card
Does that help at all?
That looks like the board to me.

Am not a PPC guy - just found a few pics of the board - maybe help you out - don't think anything belongs in that particular space except maybe an optional add-on. One pic has something there by the modem.

Here's the few I found.

Yeah... I see that. i don't know what it is though and it does not appear to have a place for that cable. The machine will power up but will not display video. I can get it for $40.00 though. The 40 bones isn't so much the issue as much as I just don't want anymore junk around my house. Does it look like a quick silver to you from the pics? Is there anything else you can see that may be good to know?
Thanks

Am assuming that cable is coming off the power supply?

Don't really have a clue myself, but we have some PPC folks around here - give them some time to check in the forum and see if you get any more response.

I'd say it's probably a quicksilver and the cable in question is as stated above.
