its this one here in the link: (2.4ghz)

Buy Apple 20in iMac 2.4Ghz. at Argos.co.uk - Your Online Shop for .

mainly will want it for web surfing, itunes, installing windows (perhaps a few modern games), BUT may (probably will) wish to get into using final cut which i believe is a fancy film editing application.

What do yo think?

You'll be fine with that choice of iMac.

It will handle it no problem from the box, but you can always add some more RAM at a later date. The processor is easily up to the job.
The dearer models have bigger storage and faster processors with more RAM as standard. Honestly you won't notice.

BTW. If you're going to get one, look at MacWarehouse - Your number one UK Mac reseller first. I got mine with a 250GB external drive thrown in for less than the retail price.
