Dual 3Ghz processors?

I've got a Powermac G4 with dual 1GHz processors and was thinking of upgrading to a G5. Is there an estimate as to when dual 3.0 GHz processors will be available? Will it be 2.5 GHz for the forseeable future?

Nobody *really* knows. Apple and IBM promised dual 3GHz to the masses a long time ago... we still haven't gotten it yet.

My optimistic view is 3GHz by Tiger release (most likely June 31st.)
My realistic view is 3GHz by the end of this year.
