iMac - bootup speeds

Mac Specs: 20" Imac 2.16ghz intel core duo , 30gb ipod, 16 gb 3g iphone,PowerBook G4 1.67ghz 1Gb ram

I was just wondering i have a imac at home i beleieve is 2.16 ghz. My partner has one at work i cant quote the speed but i know it is less. What would make his mac bootup faster then mine?

Boot up time can vary:

(Assuming both machines are the same with respect to CPU and memory.)

Access speed of the hard drive, 5400 RPM versus 7200 RPM for example.

How much space remains on the hard drive. A nearly full hard drive will respond slowly.

Programs that are being loaded at startup.

What peripheral hardware is attached.

And so on.....

To make it easy, just use the Automation tab.

Check all items in the Maintenance and Cleaning sections.
