I understand from reading a couple of threads that the volume control on my iMac is disconnected when I connect my external speakers with a optical Toslink cable.
But what can I do if I want to have the volume control on the iMac with a optical cable.
My speakers are more than one arm length away from my iMac and my speakers does not have a remote control system
