the imac g5 comes with a mini VGA port not VGA. I want to use a "20" inch apple cinema display or a "20" inch apple studio display with my imac G5. But these displays have DVI ports not VGA. Is their anyway for me to connect the monitor with my imac G5? what will i need?

yeah.. it works now. they mention a device called the VGAtor about $300. that seems to be my best bet unless anyone else knows anyway else to connect imac g5 to a DVI monitor

Most DVI-only monitor only accept digital video signals (Apple displays, for instance, are digital-only), though the VGA signal is analog, so There's no way you could connect that together without special hardware.

But honestly, for the price of the VGAtor, you can get a 17" flat panel with VGA input.
