I have 2 iMacs. Is there a way I can copy discs using one machine to read and one to burn? If not, how do I use the sharing CD/DVD drive feature?

I know you can do that with Toast

Can anyone tell me why only the public folder shows up on each computer, even though we set the CD drives to "share" in System Preferences?

Mr Macintosh can only hope to improve

go to Finder application on both Macs, then click on the Finder Menu and select 'Finder Preferences.' Click on the tab at the top that reads 'General.' Click on 'CD's and DVD's' to make them show up on the desktop!

Hope this helps. (if it doesn't I have a few other ways you could try- just post another message for me!!)
