Hi - really stupid question I'm afraid, but I'm not with the machine right now so I can't check for myself... I've sold an iMac to someone, marked as being a 24” 2.8GHz. I've already checked the serial number which I recorded from the cardboard carton it was packed in, and it checks out... but the guy’s just emailed me, very angry, saying I've conned him as it’s only a 2.4... could anybody possibly tell me if the serial number is somewhere easily accessible on the actual iMac body, so that I can get him to check it for me?

Thanks in advance...

Click on the "apple", top left corner. Select "about this Mac".

Once you have the serial number, go here

Apple Serial Number Info // Decode your Mac's serial number!

enter the serial number and this will tell you more about your Mac

The problem is not the problem. The problem is your attitude towards the problem. You understand ?
