My (Late '04) G5 is within the system requirements for CS4, but what about the next CS? What what about the next Final Cut Pro? I imagine there is no official answer, but what do people anticipate? Will this be the last generation of high end design software to support the G5?

Well of course at some point your computer will not be able to adequately handle some future version of Adobe CS...that's the nature of computing!!!

Software titles get bigger & more complex...and able to do more things...and thus you need a more powerful computer to run them.

Also specifically talking about Macintoshes...Adobe CS will eventually be "Intel only"...and thus at some point your PowerPC G5 won't be able to run it at all!

In fact...Adobe CS4 Master Collection...requires an Intel Processor.

Basically...if you are someone who needs to use Adobe CS...and your current version of Adobe CS isn't able to do what you want it to do...it might be time to think about a computer upgrade.
