17" vs 20"

So I was in London at the weekend in the Apple store, comparing these two. Both are fantastic screens. I've read a few reviews that the 20" was a better screen, however I couldn't tell any different. Both were fantastic machines. Colors were bright. The 20" is HUGE, could easily open 2 webpages side by side with soom to spare. However I couldn't justify the extra £200+, so I came home, and bought the 17" with a Gb of memory

Did you get the 1.6 or the 1.8 17"? Regardless ALL of the the iMac G5s are beautiful machines. Congrats!

Got that right !! I bought the wife a 20" for xmas and that sucker sure looks great sitting there on the desk...she loves it and so do i...

1.8GHz.

Staff were amazing in the Apple Store. Never tried to push anything, and open about everything! Wouldn't tell me when Tiger was gonna be released though lol

I have that system right now 17" 1.8ghz 1gb ram

It sure is beautiful and its actually bigger when you are using it alone when you aren't in an apple store comparing it with the 20" screen

Yaeh, I had an equally pleasant experience. When I asked the guy ringing me out about the realese of Tiger he just laughed and said "I wish I knew cause I want it too."
