I have a problem with my iMac, and I hope that some of you know if I can solve it, whitout installing Mac OS again. After startup my desktop background looks like this:
I doesn't have any other problems with my computer, an if I mark the background area the strange backgrond disappears.

Welcome to the Forum. It would be nice if you can tell us what kind of machine you have so we can get help faster.

If by chance you have a white iMac follow this link or use the search button.
