I recently helped a friend set up his iMac to stream to his home stereo system so things like Pandora could be played throughout the house. The problem we are having is his computer keeps going to sleep and back to the log-in screen. In energy saver, we set the computer and display to never go to sleep. We also un-checked the box that says "put the hard disks to sleep when possible." Even after doing this, the display still goes dark and when the mouse is moved to turn the screen on it is back at the log in screen. This causes pandora to stop playback, which is not good since this is why we set up the streaming in the first place. Why is the computer still going to sleep when we are telling it to never do so? I got a suggestion on another forum to reset the SMC and that did not help.
QUOTE Thanks
