Mac Specs: iMac g5 (late '05) 17", 1.8ghz, 1.5gb, 250gb, combo.

Ive realized recently that my imac g5s fans have been running constantly and are on noticeably to hear them. What i'm saying is when this machine was very quite and now its louder but not full blast loud would anyone know what the problem is here?
