Looking for advice. I recently bought a G4 AGP , it is my first mac and I am aware that I will have a combination of upgrades to get it even close to modern standards but for my needs I believe it will be fine. I've seen some G4 daul 500 processors selling cheap on ebay, where can I go to find out if they are compatible.

G'day and welcome to the forums.
Go to the following link which will check out if your machine can handle the DP:- MacBidouille.com - News du 2002-09-05 If so, removing the old processor involves removing three screws, lifting off CPU and popping on DP, Note you will require the heat sink as the single processor heat sink will go nowhere near the DP. Next max out the memory for another boost. |
