Stupidly, I pulled out the plug as I was booting up my imac g5 the other day. I turned it back on but just got the flashing question mark in a folder alternating with the finder icon. After research on the net I managed to put in a re start disc and accessed the disk utility and ran a disc repair. This seemed to work as a few problems were resolved. I then re started my mac and now it starts up but after a minute say that I must re start the computer. So I do and it just returns to the same screen again and again and again.....HELP what did I do apart from being stupid in the first place.
Thanks

Disconnect any external devices and have another go, if the kernel panic persists you may have to do an archive and install

When you did disk repair, did you repair permissions as well?
