I got a new iMac a couple months back. It has the default 2 gigs of 800mhz. I just wanted to make sure this RAM (Newegg.com - Kingston 2GB 200-Pin DDR2 SO-DIMM DDR2 800 (PC2 6400) Laptop Memory - Laptop Memory) would work for an upgrade. Thanks.

easiest way to to see what exact memory your mac takes is to use "Scan My System" on Crucial's site. it is safe to use.

hope that helps
