Hey guys,
I had bought 4 GB of RAM for my MBP but I actually sold my MBP this past weekend and just left the 2GB that was in it. So, my question is this... can I use the 4GB that I have (that I originally bought for my MBP) in an Imac that I hopefully will be buying within the next week or so.
thanks

Go to Memory upgrades, flash media, and usb storage at Crucial.com and look up the model of your MBP that you sold and identify the memory it uses. Do the same for the model iMac you intend to buy.

Regards.

They will fit but the MBPs ram will be 667mhz and the new iMacs have 800mhz. Iy would slow down the iMac a fair bit. They would work great in an older iMac.

So yeah they will but they will also slow down the newer iMacs.
