That's not the point; that is CHEAPER than the US price!. Define "the average student" . If you are studying film and performing arts, chances are you'll need a powerful Mac for FCP etc. The point of this post is to make those that CAN afford one, aware of the price reduction; debating who can and who cannot afford one, is academic - pardon the pun .
