Please help a non-computer-technical photographer.
I have an old grey and blue G4 (circa 2000) , I am buying an external storage device (an Epson P-2000) and want to down load the images from it - this device is USB 2 - presumably as my G4 is of pensionable age it will only run at USB 1 speeds and I won't see the speed benefit from USB 2.
Your advice will be greatly appreciated.

What do you want to know... If the device will still run? Well if so.... It should still beable to upload images, just not at the USB 2.0 speeds.
