Hello everyone, new to the forum here so I was wondering if anyone could help.
The other night we had a power failure, my G5 quad (late 2005) model
was in sleep mode at the time. The next morning I tried to power up. All I got was a click and the light above the button lit up then went out. I hit the button again and the light when on in a steady glow but nothing else.
I tried the reset button on the logic board, then starting it without the clock battery but nothing works. I ordered a new clock battery (I hope that's the problem) but my gut says it might be more serious.
Has anyone had a similar problem? and a possible fix?
Thanks in advance for your help.
Dan

Dan,

on my new model Mac Pro I encountered a switch problem where the internal drives plug in to their slots. Start up was intermittent and got the whole m-board replaced. Try reseating your internal drives.

thanks,

gene
