ok...I just got myself an old power mac with OS 8, now I know nothing about mac;s...I have used PC's all my life...I want to get rid of all the stuff of it and put a clean install of OS 8 on...so how do I go about this?
also can I put a newer version of mac os on it?

- 17" Flat Panel iMac -15" 1.5GHz, 80GB HDD, 128MB ATI video card, 1GB RAM- PowerBook
Of course you'll need the install disc(s) for the OS you want to put on it. Then just insert disc 1 and hold the C key when you are booting up the computer.
Looking for a PowerMac G4 for $500 or less USD.
