Power Mac - Power Mac G5 won't come on sometimes

Hi,

I have a secondhand PowerMac G5 that was manufactured in 2004. It works very well, but sometimes when I turn it on I get a blank screen. I have to press the power button to turn it off, then turn it on again and then it would power up.

Should I be concerned? Has this happened to anyone of you on this list?

Im having the same issue, its the Logic Board and its frekin $700 - $900 for a new one

Hi,

I searched and searched, and I found out how to start the computer in safe mode. That worked this morning. But if a logic board is $900, I'd rather buy a new iMac.

Run Apple Hardware Test for starters if you can boot the machine.
