iMac - defrac hard drive?

Er not had my imac for long and it is ruunig great but as i download lots of files etc i was wondring if i need to keep the hard drive clean ie drac it or somethink is the an app built in to the imac?

OS X does a certain about of 'cleaning up' etc under its own steam, so there is no real need to do a full defrag, just so long as at least 10% of your HDD capacity it free.

yeah, from time to time you can verify/repair disk permissions. that helps some. otherwise, just watch your HD space and clean unneeded files out every few months or so.
