I've just bought a new (not wireless) keyboard for my 20" imac. There's a (USB?) cable with it - could anyone tell me what it's for as there's no sign of it in the instruction manual?
QUOTE Thanks

It's a spare.

It's got a regular USB plug at one end and an enlarged one shrouded in plastic at the other.

I've never seen that extension cord come with an iMac. It's really necessary for the Mac Pros. Apple designed it so it can really only be used with the keyboard. They built a ridge in the USB port on one end so it's not completely rectangular.
