I have a b&w G3 its got 400mhz chip 386 ram 20g hard drive and the board is a rev. 2.OK here is my situtaion i got this g3 of a guy on craigs list for $5 there was no hard drive in it and no battery on the board so i slapped a new battery and a hd in it.He had a copy of os x 10.3 sitting in the cd drive.I went to install it and everything installed fine but when it is done and restarts the apple logo comes up.After a minute or two a prohitary sign comes up.so i dont know what i`m doing wrong i reset the nvram and other stuff. I think the firmware is up to date.Any help would on this well be apperiated. thanks kevin

"The prohibitory sign, pictured here, appears instead of the "broken folder" icon in Mac OS X 10.2 and later.

This symptom usually occurs when a file or folder has been moved, replaced, or damaged. It could also occur if you use certain hardware or software with your computer."
