Captain, United States Army. Been on active duty for eleven years (2 years enlisted). I gradute in two weeks from Harvard (Kennedy School of Government), next assignment is at the Pentagon. Been to Kuwait, Bosnia, Croatia, South Korea on deployements.

Just switched from PC to Mac. So far so good. The more I get the hang of my Mac the more I like it.

Happy Memorial Day to all of you.

(Bonus points for anyone who can name the movie and actor quoted above.)

I am here at training right now and this sucks!

I am off at 5 almost everyday but I am also up at 5 everyday. Then there is the constant fear of being "washed back" for anything including medical, or personal emergencies. I have 100 days left and this sucks. Oh well, I think I just miss having all my time to do whatever I want with. All the people who just got out of basic love it here because they have more freedom. I hate it because I came from from home. Oh well.

Thanks for letting me vent a little.

I am long, long out but was in the Navy and went a lot of places: Antarctica, Vietnam (Binh Thuy in the Mekong Delta in the brown water navy), Japan, Hawaii, Hong Kong, Philippines, New Zealand, Samoa and the list goes on and on.

Wow 4 1/2 year old thread but ill add to it.....
I have been discharged since 97 and they didnt really send Aussies anywhere much, up until Timor which i did a small stint.
Got out a a Corporal in 2nd Cavalry Regiment. Australia's only reconnaissance Regiment.
Went through the ranks as Driver, Gunner and then commander and finished my years in the Transport side of it because i got to broken and wasnt aloud in a Sabre Squadron ...
My unit took on the LAV25 a vehicle from Canada but after 8 years of trials we tweaked them for Aussie conditions. My old unit is currently serving in Iraq and have had some mates die there... RIP DIGGERS

Use to be my office
