Yeah, this isn't nearly as straightforward as it should be. I really don't understand why car audio is so hacker hostile. I have a 2004 Kia with a factory stereo. I have yet to find a good way to do it. I have a cheap FM-transmitter deal, but it gets interference, even with my antenna down. A hard-wired solution would be awesome, but seems to require a new stereo.

Anyone tried the $50 ones Walmart is selling with a USB power jack and aux in on front? (Just looked, don't see it online...)

My other thought is getting inexpensive amp and wiring it in and running my ipod through it....I can do the's finding the cheap and workable components that is the challenge!
