Forgive me if the answer is something obvious, because I've looked everywhere and cannot find an answer, and I'm fairly new to Mac and making videos.

I have a Flip UltraHD pocket camcorder that I'm going to use to record videos of myself singing. It makes great videos, but I need a monitor of some sort to be able to view what it's recording while it's recording it. While I know I could use my TV, but I want to use my laptop for this. How can I do that? The Flip UltraHD has a USB output for transfering data, and it also has an HDMI output.
