I do not have a backup anyway. It's only on my dead computer and my iPod.

Thanks. I'll make a note of this in case I find something else.
I'm thinking that my other alternative would to buy an external hard drive and take it along with my iPod to a friends house and try and put the music from my iPod onto the external drive, then I can simply copy the music from the drive to my mac.
