Does anyone know if there is a way to configure the scroll wheel button to click to open a link in a new tab or to click to close a tab? I have been using my old Dell mouse and it does it. Why wouldn't a $100 mouse be able to do this? Thanks for any replies.
It can: Just make sure you have it set to 'click' with the command modifier instead of switching between scroll modes. Then any links you click in safari will automatically open in a new tab.
