I have just recently bought a new mac computer.

Using bootcamp I tried installing windows xp on a seperate partion. The window xp installation then required a reboot but when it rebooted it started up mac. So I went to preferences and click restart bootcamp, windows disk. Now when I turn the computer on it makes the start up chime/sound then goes to a black screen saying:

disk error
press any key to restart

none of the keys do anything so I have to hold down the power on button to turn the computer off.

How do I get mac to boot up!!!!?
