i've searched around on this site and the internet in general but couldn't find anything that explained my problem

I have an aluminum macbook just over 6 months old
last night it was working perfectly and shut down fine
this morning i go to turn it on the apple logo appears for 10 seconds max with say 3/4 of them seconds the loading dial comes up at the bottom then the computer turns itself off :S

I've tried the coverall suggestions on the mac site but it doesn't affect it

Anyone have an idea of what the problem could be caused by, how serious, solution even and whether it would be covered by the warranty in the apple store

P.s i've already booked an appointment in my local genius bar, i'd like to prepare myself beforehand though
