I closed my alu-macbook yesterday evening and it installed some updates automatically. Today, when I booted it, the mouse movement (including touchpad) is halting for a split of an second in about 2-3 sec intervals.
The same halting is present with video playback and expose transitions such as f11 does for example. The mouse keeps halting same way also before I log in.

I've tried the following without any success:
- restarted a couple of times
- installed latest updates
- repaided permissions

What is going on?
