Your trash folder is located at ~/.Trash (/Users/<username>/.Trash). Make an alias to that on your Desktop.

Since the folder is hidden, execute the following two commands in the Terminal (/Applications/Utilities/Terminal.app) to make all files/folders visible:

defaults write com.apple.Finder AppleShowAllFiles YES
killall Finder
After you have made your alias, execute the same two commands but replace YES with NO to hide the files/folders again.
