Resizing partitions / CampTune / WinClone
|
I just recently changed the hard drive out on my MacBook Pro. Before doing so, I backed up my existing Vista/Boot Camp partition with WinClone. I restored the Mac OS partition onto the new drive, then used Boot Camp to allocate 80GB to Windows. I restored my WinClone backup to the newly created Boot Camp partition. The trouble is, I created an 80GB partition using Boot Camp, but after restoring with WinClone, that partition appears to be 60GB (the original size of the backed up Vista partition).
I have tried using CampTune to resize the partition, but CampTune thinks that it's already 80GB. But when I boot up in Vista, Vista sees it as 60GB. Additionally, when I look at the partitions in Disk Utility, Disk Utility sees it as 80GB.
So, the question is, how do I convince Vista that this is truly an 80GB partition? I'm tempted to use Partition Magic, but I'm afraid that I might damage the partition map and/or the OS X partition.
