If you're willing to spend some money.... Buy and install VMWare Fusion (I think it's around $79). With Fusion you can run Ubuntu in a virtual session. VMWare even has a ready to go image of Ubuntu that you can download and install. Sorry, I don't have a step by step to give you but from what I have read, installing and setting up Fusion is fairly straight forward.

BTW, Fusion has its own forums where you can ask questions and pick up information on how to do's.
