That's odd. It would have been gratifying to have some evidence of disk structure problems or a hardware issue. I'm not sure that we've found the root cause of the issue.

Have you run Software Update from the Apple menu to see if you have any updates pending?
Liquid and computers don't mix. It might seem simple, but we see an incredible amount of people post here about spills. Keep drinks and other liquids away from your expensive electronics!
