Okay, here is what I am thinking. Since you have a G4 you don't have the 8GB disk limitation problem.

I am starting fresh here since i don't remember what was in the other thread.

Try to do a clean install again. Make sure you wipe the disk clean first. You may have a corrupted frist install, but I can say for sure.

Make sure your install media is clean before you start the new installation.

Also notice select only the subsystems you want to install. You don't need all of the printer drivers or all of the different languages. This will shorten up your install time.

It should not take any more than an hour to do this installation. So be sure to let the installation complete. If you interrupt the installation, then you will have a big problem. We may need to search the Apple boards for a solution to an interrupted OS X installation.

Hopefully you are able to complete the installation. The next step is to get it to revision 10.3.5. You will need to download Mac OS X Combined Update 10.3.5 to finish up the update.
