What you need is Flip4Mac Its a plug in for Quick Time that will enable you to open wmv videos and watch them through Quick Time works like a charm.

Microsoft has a Mac Version of Windows Media Player, but its not all that. Plus they stopped supporting it and it isn't recommended. Give Flip4Mac a shot.
