Make sure the cable is going between one of the network ports (not the Internet port) on the Actiontec to the Internet port on the Airport Express. If that's not the problem, you may need to just bite the bullet and tell Verizon that you want to use your own wireless router and that you need just a modem and not a combined router/modem.

Liquid and computers don't mix. It might seem simple, but we see an incredible amount of people post here about spills. Keep drinks and other liquids away from your expensive electronics!
