My iMac (20" Intel C2D) just crashed...

Is this a common problem?. This is the ONLY time this has happened?. To add to this, last night my mains lead accidentally got tugged out of the back of iMac whilst it was running, but upon rebooting, I did a disk verify/perm repair.
