track, artist, album missing from imports

I got a nice new Mac Book Pro yesterday and decided to import a few of my new CD's into iTunes. When I did this none of the information about the track name, artist, album came across so I was left with a list of multiple Track 1, 2, 3 etc...
Now the same CD's import all the info on my old iMac without problem so any idea whats gone wrong and how I sort this out?
