Hi guys I totally agree that the macbook pro can get very hot. I have held it on my lap while watching the office and had red marks that didn't dissappear on my legs for almost an hour. but it is still a great machine!!!

I just bought the macbook black for myself. i know black costs more but do what i did. Apple.com sells refurbished for very reasonable prices and makes it less of an unnecssary expense. good luck.
